AOL 'allegedly ' free 2 month trial - help needed!

I signed up for a 2 month free trial but noticed I have been charged a month early. I called to explain this and was told they couldnt refund it but would credit my account with 15.99 thereby giving me a free month for the 3rd month.
I am getting BT broadband connected on Saturday so that is no use to me and I would like the money back. I will call to officially cancel once the broadband is connected. I still have a copy of the CD which states on the cover that I would get 2 free months, and called back again once I located this but was told the same thing. So as this was an error on AOLs part I should get that money back.
What can I do?

Its no help but I recall a similar problem with freeserve years ago. I signed up for a free month only to see payments start immediately. I was then told the second month was free, not the first.

Dont know if its any use but I would contact your bank and explain what has happened, im sure under the terms and conditions of DD's if you have been charged incorrectly you are entitled to a refund.

    HTH :)

If it says nothing in teh terms and conditions about the 3rd month being free and not the second, then it is AOl who are in the wrong and you are entitled to a refund. Give them a ring, explain that after expereincing their free trial and one of their competitors (BT) you are going with the competitor and demand your money back. They really have no excuse not to give it to you.
