Ebay parcel not recieved

Afternoon all, I recently purchased something from ebay and it should have been delivered by now.I contacted the seller and they have sent me the tracking reference number.I have put this into the royal mail tracking page and it says that it has been delivered from my local sorting office but I havent recieved it.Is there any way they can find out which address actually accepted the package? It was something I paid £45 for, so not to cheap and certainly to much money for me to loose.Thank you in advance
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)

Hi Update and could do with some more advice.
Parcel st hasnt been recieved, Have tried communicating with the seller and they gave me a tracking number. When this is checked via royal mail website it simply says that it has been delivered from the local sorting office .Nothing about what address it was delivered to.I opened an ebay dispute as was getting nowhere with the seller , ebay have now decided to go in favour of the seller:mad: So now I am money down and no item. How can they do this if there is no deffinate evidence as to what address the package went to .Everyone makes mistakes and this time the parcel delivery person hasnt delivered to correct address.I have checked with neighbours etc and none of them have the package.I simply dont have the kind of budget where I can cut my losses on the money spent on the item.Iykwim

Hi yep twice and both times all they could tell me that it wasnt there so must have been delivered to me which it hasnt been.It seems I have been trapped inbetween 2 walls, because rm are saying it has been delivered then I loose out on the money I paid and the package. No justice there

  • Get onto Royal Mail customer services and give them the tracking number, they will be able to tell you what address your item was delivered too. I had to do this in the past when something was delivered to the wrong place. You can contact them via the website

I would attend the DO in person and ask to make a complaint.

The seller has fulfilled their obligations as far as a dispute, as you have found out. It would have been easier to try to convince the seller to help you rather than by opening a dispute - a sure fire way of making the seller dig their heels in.

    how would they do that?
The RM tracking system is not linked to addresses
If a postie remembers they will be able to tell you but there is no data held

OP, phone paypal and tell them that the tracking might well relate to a different address. Ask paypal to reopen the case and insist on seeing the actual proof of postage that seller holds to ensure the address is correct.

If it is then this sounds like another issue for tracking, was it recorded delivery or special?

First Anniversary Name Dropper First Post I've been Money Tipped!
Looks like a Royal Mail problem and you just have to have patience there.

I think you can get some compensation from Royal Mail, if it turns out to be their fault and the item has gone missing. I have seen up to £46 compensation mentioned elsewhere - can anybody confirm that.

Standard compensation is £46 however this is more complicated as tracking shows item was delivered so is not lost and cannot be claimed for.

The difference between recorded and special might be crucial here.
