Lets get Kit sorted

Right I need to get my life sorted. I think being so disorganised is leading to me spending more money than needed.

I make lists all the time but I lose them and to be honest no one ever see thems so I don't have any one to explain why i've not completed them.

So if I put them down here then I will feel I have to do them

So list for today
  • Take the washing out the wasing machine and hang outside(I cant tell you the amount of times I have had to re wash clothes because I have left them wet for a few days)
  • Fold up and put awa clothes already washed and dried.
  • Take something out the freezer for dinner (rather than order a take away)
  • Update all the calanders and diary with shifts for the next month.
  • Be brave and check online banking and no doubt be:eek:
  • Start my household budget on excel (i got office 2010 the other day and i can't wait to start using it.
Think that's enough for now.

  • Well done for making a start Kit. I know what you mean about the washing - I do the same thing :D and taking food out of the freezer too :D I'm on first name terms with the woman in our local chinese!!!

I'll subscribe to your diary and I look forward to seeing the progress! Good luck with the OLB...

    Done for today.

Did a few extra bits as well so feeling like I am a bit more on top of things.

Have another load in the WM and hopefully tomorrow I can get it out to dry.

Think I am also going to note my spends on here as well so I can easily refer back to them.

    So today I have spent

    £20 Electricity
    £89 At the hairdressers
£10 Cash - A magazine, bottle of juice and used a fiver change for a tip at the hairdresser.
    £6 at farmfoods.

Aiming for tomorrow and sunday to be NSD.

  • Hairdressers are shockingly expensive aren't they? I try and always colour my hair myself although I do have it cut locally @ £30 per go. I try and eek it out to 10 weeks per go though :D

    Good luck with the NSD's...

Little bit dizzy my hairdresser said I should get my colour done every 6 weeks but I have be known to eek it out to 12 weeks but my hair is short so I can get away with it but she was telling me yesterday she is going to give it up as a full time job and do something totally different but do homers on the side, so fingers crossed she does and I can get it done for a bit less.

    So todays list.

    [STRIKE]
    Hang washing outside
[/STRIKE]Put another load in the washing
Iron and put away yesterday's dried clothes
    Dishes[STRIKE]
Take something out freezer for dinner
[/STRIKE]Make a start on my bedroom i.e sorting through clothes
    Give kitchen a quick clean
    Have a NSD day

Kids got a £1 each from their grandma the other day and I think they may want to get a lolly from the shop later but as it's their money I can count this as a NSD, I have one lolly left in the freezer so I can have that one.

Right off to make a start

Good luck, Kit. Your list really struck a chord with me. I am cured of leaving clothes in the washing machine for days on end because I now have so few I would have to go naked if I did. I know it is wash day when I have to wear my "emergency knickers" (the ones I normally avoid wearing because I don't like them). I have to confess, though, that ironing is never on my list.
    "Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

Wordsmith I hate ironing and thankfully most things I tumble so don't need ironing but the line dried stuff from yesterday needs it and I know what you mean by emergency knickers lol.

Right I shouldn't be on here.

Need to add another few bits to my list.

Getting sewing kit out to sew DS 2 jackets
    Continue my excel spending spreadsheet
    Do freezer/cupboard inventory.

Have stopped for lunch now, DS wants egg sandwiches, DD a cheese tostie and I am having boiled eggs.
