Specsavers eye test discounts ?

Have foolishly booked an eye test for next week without sorting out any discount/free eye test voucher.
Last time at Specsavers was told that my next eye test would be free (due to me being 40 ) after I told them that my grandad had Glaucoma ( correct ).So have booked for next week on the provision of a free eye test but was told to bring proof of Glaucoma in my family.
Other than my Dad's word I am wondering how to produce proof .Not sure if I mentioned to my GP about family history.
Sorry for the rambling , just wondered if anybody knew any recent discounts ?
thanks :money:
