  • Bread, huge salami, chorizo, cheese, and tomatoes. Eggs, sausages, bacon, baked beans, and loads of bread rolls, plus apples. Don't forget the booze (very important), plus tea, and water. :)

primula cream cheese or mattesons sausage, I used to take these as they don't need refridgerating. Then you cake take some break or crackers to eat them with!

Good luck - I did mine all the way up to gold back in school and had a blast.

She should be doing the planning! The whole idea is that teenagers learn to take responsibility for themselves.

Also, sliver should be 3 days/2 nights, so what's the extra day? Is it a training day where they can leave stuff in the tent?

So you can pass the advice on, we had a "pasta in a mug" thing for lunch and then more pasta or rice with stir-in sauce for dinner. Museili, cereal or porridge with milk powder (and sugar if applicable) mixed in and packed in sandwich bags with one for each day. For snacks we had trail mix, malt loaf and kendle mint cake. Plenty of snacks as they are also to bulk up lunch and some hot chocolate or coffee for drinking at breakfast or after dinner.

Also there is a big thread on this in the Old Style forum, here
"Every single person has at least one secret that would break your heart. If we could just remember this, I think there would be a lot more compassion and tolerance in the world."

Homemade flapjack, john west salmon fillets (vacumm packed), pot noodles (available in a sachet to make in a mug), pasta in sauce, mixed fruit and nuts, super noodles, beanfeast mix with pasta or rice, falafals (mix available in asda), coucous and take sandwiches for the first day.
Hope this helps and sending good luck.

  • Instant cereals and oats for breakfasts are convenient and make a quick snack for hungry kids in between meals. :)
