My husband and I are both registered disabled. Are there any gyms that offer disabled membership rates? Thanks

Sorry I haven't a clue but I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread to find out.0

Me, too! I find swimming is the only real exercise I can do, but gym memberships are so expensive if you're only going to make use of one of the facilities. I'd love to hear of any discounts. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

I have a local discount card that makes exercise cheaper, i also get to take a carer free cos i get mid rate DLA. Check with your local council to see if they have a similar scheme.
The other thing which might be worth exploring is the GP exercise referal scheme-i got offered this and got reduced gym membership through it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If you have a local 'Total Fitness' Gym, they have a programme called 'clinical population', which does a reduced rate for people with a long term health problem that will benefit from exercise. You have to get a letter from your GP or consultant. I think it works out at something like two thirds the regular rate - about £28 a month. The Warrington one also has a 'Reach for Health' programme, which is funded by the local health partnership.0
