ISA Help!

Hey!

I was wondering if someone could help me!

I currently have 2 ISA accounts with Barclays.

One has £10,721 and the other has £5,242.00

I'm totally not clued up with this whole interest lark and currently, the ISA where I have £5,242 gets more interest per month than the account with £10,721! which IMO, is crazy!

It's the new tax year in a few days, so I'm ready to put another lump sum into an ISA.

What I'd like in an ideal world is for all my money (my 2 old ISA's plus the money I have to put into my new ISA allowence) into just one ISA.

Anyone know of the best ISA that will allow me to transfer from my old ISA's?

Cheers! Any advice/tips are welcome :D

Oh dear it sounds as if the rates of your ISA's have dropped, now is certainly a good time to transfer them!

Well the best Instant access ISA is Halifax @ 3%, you could transfer both your existing ISA into this at any time, and also add a further £5340 next tax year (from April 6th) :j

"Best" depends on your circumstances and preferences. The Halifax one linked above is the best-paying instant-access ISA, but do you need instant-access? If you're willing to lock your money (or some of it) away for a bit longer, you can get higher rates - e.g. Lloyds have a two-year fix paying 3.6% which accepts transfers and new funds.

There's an up-to-date list on the first post of this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/401374
  • I would like instant access yes.

Many thanks Lokolo! That account sounds perfect to me! Cheers :)
