CashforYourGold UKScrapgold. Are these Gold Buying Prices Genuine?

I did post this on the Hatton Garden Metal Site but thought I'd open a new thread here.
After searching the Internet I have found 2 companies that seem to be linked, that pay a better price than either Hatton Garden Metals or Lois Jewellery. They advertise as "best prices on the web" and that their prices are "guaranteed"
Has anyone used either of these companies? They are based in Wolverhampton and their prices are some 25p a gram higher than anywhere I could find. I have a large amount of gold to sell but as I can't find anything about them on these forums I am a bit wary. basically I would have expected that as they are paying such a high price everyone on Money Saving Expert would be singing their praises

Why not just hold onto your gold - gold price is going up - there are some ridicolous analysts that say it will double in a couple of years - maybe not that far, but gold on the international markets is just short of £900 per ounce. £655 per ounce from Hatton gold, they are still making a nice mark up. NOt surprised that you can find someone offering another £10 per ounce when they are still making a 27% markup.0

Firstly I need the cash and secondly I am now curious as to who these companies are and secondly why Lois and Hatton Garden Metals are recommended but not these other two who boast they pay the best in the UK0

You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

Sorry I doubt that Hatton garden metals make anything like that mark up more like 5%0 -
Don't forget, it's not just a case of the companies taking in the gold, melting it and sending it back out again, hence the difference in scrap and new gold prices.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -

Go and offer the ring to local jewlers to get some quotes too. Cashmygold and co take massive cuts from people who do not know the value of their gold. Try an independant shop if you can find one. Also try hagling with cash4gold, like insurance renewls never take the first offer.0

Personally Id stick with Hatton Garden Metals - they've been in business for many years and haven't just stuck up a tacky website to milk the recent market in people selling their jewellery!
Whatever you do, don't look local - dealers will always need to skim a few pounds of the top per gramme. They normally go direct to the likes of HGM to sell anyway!
