Hi,
Is their a higher element for a first child?
I earn 17.5k and for 1 child it shows
Working Tax Credit - £2.30 pw & CTC £59.36 pw.
My wife is expecting and 2nd baby is due end of May. If I select 2 childrens then it shows:-
Working Tax Credit - £2.30 pw & CTC £108.29 pw. So basically £48.93 pw extra for another child.

In effect as there's a family element which you get one of, and a child element per child.0 -

There was an extra £10 pw ish for children under 1 which is being removed from AprilForums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0
