Sold on ebay for years, personal seller not a business, have feedback 100% for 250+ transactions, sold a jumper on ebay for 4.99 + 3.00 postage (cost about 2.50 to post). Just got this message from the buyer...
too small thank u!!!can u send me ure address?thank u.
Have checked feedback left for this seller and she is not afraid to leave negs! She left a neg for buying a one foot long rug and saying 'not as long as I thought'. I think it says in the listing automatically I don't give refunds - unless faulty obviously. But this item isn't - it just doesn't fit her. It was a bit small for me and I'm a 12 so advertised as it fitting a size 10 which it happily would.
What to do? I know if I don't refund her she will prob leave a neg, but I'm gonna loose money to pay the initial postage fees if I do...:(

There is very little you cna do hete really. If she goes to paypal and tried a SNAD claim then she may well win it and you'd be forced to refund anyway . Sometimes it is worth just refunding to make them go away, just make sure she realises she has to send it back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just looked and any other clothes that she has brought (30+) have been around a size 20-22, why would she buy a size 10 jumper???
I know I should refund to avoid the trouble....just annoys me as I do actually really need the money and I think even if I do refund I will prob get a neg anyway0 -
If you refund without her involving ebay then you may not get a neg. Ask her to return it & on safe reciept you'll refund her. If she wants you to pay the return post you can refuse & let her go through a dispute but always best to avoid that if at all possible.
Or you could say that you are happy to refund once it's returned but it will mean that she'll lose her return postal costs & gently suggest that it may be in her interest to sell ot on herself.
I would want to punch her myself for using text speak.0 -
Yeah I will refund her once its returned then, block her from buying from me again, thanks for the advice
.....oh and I'm totally with you about the text speak!
Think I'm going to send her a mental poke in the eye!0
