Skimming a bedroom

I have just had a quote to have a smallish bedroom skimmed, the quote is £250, does this sound a bit too cheap? This is included materials.

Actually I forgot to mention, one small wall new the window (approx 60cm wide and all the way donw to the floor) needs replastering and I am also having the ceiling done, do you still think the quote is ok and not too cheap? I thought it would be around £400???

Still be approx £50.00 materials and max a full days work, Pretty average cost for a decent plasterer, I woulnt complain about paying that amount

    Looks fine to me.

    Cheers

Edit: Whether its half a day and a bit or a whole day it won't change anything. He won't be able to start and finish another job that day so he'll be charging you for the whole day.

    Cheers

If a jobs worth doing its worth doing properly. Oh and I don't do plastering myself - never mastered the skill. Got a tame spread who does it for me when I need it. Professional? - thats what I get paid for. :D

  • I charge around 3-350 a room, so your getting it cheap, imo. But he NEEDS to use 2 coats, not one, get someone else if they are going to be one coating.
