Hi people, just after a quick answer as i really do not have a clue on how benefits work, ive never really had to claim. Basically, i split from my partner last month and now have my own place. Im on an annual gross income of 11k. Is there anything i am entitled to, to help increase my income. I do also have a 2 year old, wether or not this affects a claim i do not know.
Thanks very much for any help

Is the mother the parent with care and claims the child benefit etc? If so then no you having a child has no effect on any benefits you can claim.
If you are over 25 and work 30hours plus per week you may be entitled to some working tax credits and housing benefit but it will be on the 1 bedroom rate0
