Hi fellow MSE'rs
I bought an epad from ebay in november last year. Was a buy it now from someone who had sold lots if things and great feedback. In January it become faulty with either not turning on or when turned on the screen just says 'android' and is very pixelated. I emailed her about 6 times with no reply so i contacted ebay but because it was after 45 days they can only give me her phone number. I tried calling her lots of times and left messages but still no reply. Is there anything else i can do?
Thanks for reading

You don't say if the seller was a business seller or a private seller (no chance of sorting) in your OP.====0

Hi,
As has been suggested, I think it might be best now to see what the ebay experts have to say - so I'll move this thread across to the ebay board.

I did write yesterday[1] that the seller was probably a business seller.
I came to that conclusion because he/she had sold over fifty of those epad things since November 2010.
If you look at the seller's feedback, you will see several people mentioning that they had to pay customs duty, so goods were being shipped from outside the EU.
[1] but that post has been deleted... along with others. Probably because an ebay user id was mentioned.0 -
It seems someone went a little mad with deleting posts, this thread makes little sense now.
To the OP, you have little chance of resolution without the seller cooperating as I suspect they are actually in Hong Kong and the location that was shown in EBay was either false or just a front.
You could try complaining to eBay about the fact the item which was supposed to a private seller in the UK is actually a business seller in HK, but I doubt they will do anything.====0 -

Unfortunately it isn't as easy as that, while they may have used a real address/number, the contact number could also be a geographic VoIP number routed anywhere in the world.
Quite a few VoIP providers will supply STD geographic numbers now.====0
