Not sure whether this is the best forum for this, or the buying forum, but I'm sure it'll be moved if necessary.
I just wondered if anyone knew of any thing that can assist in wiping your botty (I know, too much information!). I am finding it harder and harder to twist around, and with having UC I tend to go more than the average person.
Is there such a thing, and where would I start to look to buy one?
TIA

i got some stuff from these people (their delivery times weren't great but finally arrived) but they have something that may help:
i can't post links but the company is essentialaids .com and its called a bottom wiper
there must be other companies that do stuff like this, have a google for them.
hope that helps.
just had a google and found another on the disabledshop and its called buckingham easy wipe.0 -
There are many many companies who sell 'DISABLED AIDS', you only have to do a search 'disabled aids' and you will see pages and pages of websites. One of these I just looked at has a section (I'm sure most of these websites have) ''PERSONAL & BOTTOM CARE':

If you are having such difficulty, even though it is embarrasing, why don't you speak to your GP - our GP surgery has an OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST' and you could have access to help with your difficulties for free.0 -
You can often self refer to the Occupational Therapist at your local hospital. There are also centres that specialise in identifying the best equipment for you but don't sell anything, so you can be sure that you're getting what you need. They used to be easier to find but google your local city along with disabled living or daily living centre. I know there are ones in Manchester, Brighton etc - you may be able to find a local one if you try the Disabled Living Foundation helpline.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
