Recently bought an 'Louis Vuitton' wallet by winning an auction. The item arrived an it was a fake. As I am quite new to ebay, I am not sure what I can do, if anything to save myself.

Many thanks in advanace:T
Description of the item:
Am I right in thinking that the description does NOT suggest anywhere that it is a replica or a Louis Vuitton-inspired wallet? So would it be best to ask for a refund at the first instance. Normally I say always contact the seller first. But with a fake, if you are sure it is a fake, then as a buyer your best cause of action is to open a case in Ebay a but see my last paragraph as eBay don't always know their own rules! eBay place the onus of proving authenticity on the seller, Paypal make the buyer prove it is fake.
You have 45 days to file a claim.
Before you file the claim, you may want to try and have the wallet inspected by an authorized reseller who will be willing to say it is fake. If they will put something in writing to that effect, it will make life easier for you and you will not have to return the item.0 -
would the price you paid be a further indication of authenticity? £51 sounds a bit low for a £260 wallet? No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0
