I have to say I've given up buying the supermarket value tomatoes, and stock up on premium brands when they're on offer. The cheap ones are just full of cores and skins and the others taste so much better.Hope is not a strategy.0

Me too, stocked now for a while. Actually quite a few "cheap shops" selling Del Monte tins loose for 25p per tin. No need to fall to the Tesco "tactics" when offers are on all over the place anyway if you just want lesser amounts.
