Reapplying for a cc after closing account with same company

Hi Guys
I paid off my credit card (Virgin) last month and now have a huge overdraft which Lloyds charge me a fortune for. Martin says the cheapest thing to do is get a credit card...with Virgin etc!!!
How long do I have to wait to reapply with this company?
Arrgghh
Thanks!

For most of the cards, MBNA seem to need 6 months:

Providing there is no residual interest due this month, and the account has been run well, then you may find they'll offer you a 'deal' to stay with them. Ring 0800 783 1116 for their retentions team.

Any 0% 'money transfer' offer will have a circa 4% fee attached though.

I understand that whilst the wait for EXACTLY the same MBNA card may be 6 months, there's nothing stopping you from applying for another, different, MBNA run card now.

Why stay with MBNA though? Egg will do you 14 months 0% for a 3% fee, and M&S will do you 15 months 0% for a 1% fee (via their Sterling travellers cheques).
