Have you spoken to your landlord and explained these problems, if he is not being sympathetic and issues a notice of intent to evict take it to the council.

Are you aware of where your MP has surgeries, they should be able to help.

Others on this forum have inhouse experience of how local authority/hmrc tax credits work, keep bumping it up as it's getting late now.

    Hope all ends up well.

PS You stated this is your only income, has your partner applied for JSA if he has recently finished work?

I am moving out soon, a few weeks to go, one more rent to pay! Then I will be staying with a friend and husband in shared accommodation (I don't like the idea of this with a child!!!) so won't be claiming housing benefit as not allowed but will do food shopping and cook/clean as my keep i suppose?!? Not telling my landlord no, I don't want them involved! I have had to move because I cannot afford to live here and it was getting silly!!!

There is a claim but he has a sanction for a few weeks, so
No payment is getting made. We are only entitled to £5 a week I think that's what they said anyway!!!

I think I will try and apply for a crisis loan so I can go shopping but probably less hassle to do a wonga.com!!!

It may be a good idea to go to your local council offices and get yourself on the housing list as homeless and apply for social housing, homeless may be a tough word but if you cannot afford the rent you cannot stay there.

Explain the circumstances you are in with having no money for food and children involved.

Is there anything wrong with the property you could highlight in your decision.

Hope your husband gets work soon, you are both under pressure at the moment and are going to have to be twice as resillient with the situation you are moving too.

I'm sure you will both come out of this stronger but do talk about possible problems you may encounter over the next few months and how you both will deal with them as a family.

Good luck and keep fighting for HB you will be owed.

I went to the council a few weeks ago about this. Basically, I cannot go 'homeless' because I have made myself intentionally so, either by getting into rent arrears or by giving notice without anywhere to go! (I did find somewhere but LL later decided to sell, and with all the 'No DSS' (which doesnt actually exist!) lets around, there is no hope!). I dont want to end up being evicted, because I cannot imagine how hard it would be to find a property with that hanging over you!

Its going to be very pants, but at least we know it will hopefully be short term until somewhere comes up!

    Thanks for your advice!
