I live in a flat thats less than two years old with a huge whacking great brand new aerial attached to it but yet the tv signal is appalling!!
I've gone for sky in the lounge but would like to use either freeview or freesat in the bedrooms.
i have a spare freesat box but both sky feeds go into the box so not even sure that is possible without paying sky £10 a month for the privliage
As for indoor aerials I just don't have a clue, there are so many types and looking around the best advice seems to be get a good outdoor aerial, well I have one and it doesn't work!
Has anyone got any ideas on what I could do to remedy my little problem?
Cheers,
michelle

Try and get the aerial sorted would be my first thought0

Sounds like when they installed the Sky,they may have disconnected the feed from the aerial & used that to run the second Sky feed in the cupboard where all the feeds terminate,if it's a communial Sky system that is.
You could try a AV Sender if your not worried about watching the same channel in the bedroom as the living room, you can get them from Argos for around £30.

Tbh the signal has never been great and of the neighbours i have spoken to it's the same in theirs -One aerial for every 6 flats and there are about 50 flats.
The guy installing the sky did say that when he put it in, the signal would be lost in the bedrooms because of the work being done but he could fix it for £40 which had to be paid cash there and then, otherwise it would be £100 plus if I called him out again:eek:, I refused!:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly0 -
Talk to the management company, you are presumably paying a service charge for maintaining this equipment, so ask them to do what they're paid for.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

You could run all 50 flats from one aerial, that's not the issue, as stated you are paying a fee so you should in theory get some one to sort this out, in practice its not going to happen very quickly, if at all, speak to management and give them X amount of time to sort it out, then:
If Sky guy left a card give him a ring and have a chat he seems to now know the system and can advise what he can achieve for what cost, pay after its up and running.0 -
Some good advice above, so this is in addition, and maybe a non starter.
If it's a 'weak' signal, you can get an aerial amplifier for around a tenner. (Argos) That should improve matters.
However.... if it's a noisy (bad) signal with interference (lines, spikes, disruption) on it, the amplifier will amplify the noise too.0
