With the cost of listing a Buy it Now for any length being the same, why might some sellers choose to run for less than the maximum 30 days?

Ah, so eBay gives lower priority to those who list for 30 days.
Not necessarily, but there is a strange 'thing' where often the BINs with less time to run get higher visibility, whether it is a glitch or not I do not know.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm studying very closely a competitor who comes up very high on searches, and they use quite a lot of 10 days BINs.
Tried it, didn't work for me though , not sure what it is.0 -

that's interesting. I've today listed 2 30 day BINs and one sold in 2 hours and I had a best offer (haha) on the other one.
Whereas a BIN on my other account has sat there and then was bought today on day 29. :undecided0
