USB playback on LG 42 LD450

Any one who bought this tv can advice me if I can playback avi, mpeg, xvid video files by attaching my external hard drive.

Yes, you can. Three points though:
1) It may need a software update to allow the use of the USB (but most shouldn't)
2) Check the manual for the exact file formats it can play
3) You might need your hard drive to be FAT32 formatted...not NTFS that most come asSquirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Be very careful if you overwrite the firmware on LG sets - can cause the TV to become a "brick"!!! Try looking for advice on AV Forums.0
