companyPension 2 years 3 weeks ,frozen

Hi, Has anybody got advice for me I joined my Husqvarna uk company pension scheme JAN 27 2009 On Jan 29th 2011 I was asked into a meeting with our Human Resources manager and our company pensions advisor to be told the company pension was been frozen and deffered , would we like to go into a new pension scheme? I was not happy with this as was only in it 2 years, I contacted our pension office by letter and asked to have my contributions returned as i did not want it frozen for the next 23 years,, letter came back saying you have been in the scheme for 2 years and 3 weeks so you cannot have your money out £1600 payed. I feel this is totaly unfair and unjust as the company never anounced this until mid january 2011. is there anything or anyone i could contact to try to get my contributions back?
thank you.

frozen or deferred? It cant be both.

it is unlikely to be frozen. More likely deferred.

Lucky escape. Return of contributions would have cost you a fortune in lost pension entitlement.

You probably feel its unfair as you dont understand what you have and what you are asking for. If you did understand you wouldnt be asking for a refund of contributions.

Why would you want your contributions back? It happens to be illegal, but the point is it would cost you a fortune relative to what you paid in.

Leave it there and enjoy the benefits later on.
