Ib/dla....is?

I am getting incapacity due to my illness and also get DLA as well. I've recently learned that DLA is not counted as income when claiming for Income Support.
I want to try and claim for IS, I don't care if the amount is only small. The only reason I need to apply for it is because I'm in a position of needing dental care and prescription eye glasses, which I could not afford. I know that people who get IS can get these treatments for free.
Would I be entitled to IS being in receipt of Incapacity and DLA? If not, are there any ways people on Incapacity & DLA who can not afford to pay for dental treatment etc can get some sort of financial help with these?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

take a look at this link which will explain NHS costs for people on low income
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DG_4018302
You may be entitled to IS depending on your circumstances like do you live alone/partner and what care rate of DLA do you receiveForums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0 -
