Mature Cheeses

I quite like cheese, but I get fedup when I buy a mature cheese that tastes only of salt! These days most food products, including yoghurt and milk, say how much salt is in them, yet unprocessed cheese does not!

P.S. Don't buy Anchor mature cheddar - it's awful!

Just wish we had proper cheese shops in this country, like wot they do in France, everything is refrigerated to death here!

There are now more varieties of cheese made in the Great Britain than in France. this is broadly down to diversification in farming - farmers trying different methods to make some money.

Unfortunately, it is quite hard to find these cheeses because the supermarkets have closed down the shops that would have sold them. Which is why the farmers are having to diversify !
