How long do paypal claims take?

Can anyone please advise how long a claim takes to be decided once it has got to the "being reviewed by paypal" stage. Just had notification from them today that they are reviewing it and in the standard scripted comments says I should hear somenthing by 15th March but they try to make decisions quickly in non complex cases.

This should be clear cut, bought a car part through paypal, paid as a product not a gift. Nearly 3 weeks later hasnt turned up and seller wants me to wait another 3 weeks before Rm will look at his claim.

He has shown me a genuine COP but he has supplied a tracking number which is false, doesnt say being progressed or anything like that, just no records found.

He has also spoke to someone at RM who has allegedly checked both depots:think: and confirmed it has left one but not arrived at the other?

Any experience of how long before a decision please.

All you can really do is wait until the deadline and then escalate the claim.
I have done this twice in the past and got refunded, but then the seller made no response.

Sorry dont know whether I made it clear or not, it has been escalated from dispute to a claim and both parties have had their say, just waiting on PP to decide for/against. Was wondering normally how long it takes from them changing the staus to "being reviewed by paypal"

ive been waiting 3 weeks from paypal reviewing my claim.. still nothing..
but its says anything upto 30 days..

Ring them and they will usually settle the claim straightaway if they can. If you leave it then they will leave it in a queue as long as they need to.....

Yep, rang them and they settled it in my favour there and then.

hi guys, I have the same problem but my brother sent me some money as a gift and for some reason it is being reviewed by paypal and they have limited my account although it is fully registered. I rang my brother up who lives in Canada and he says that his paypal has been limited also, due to the money he sent to me. I would love to know how to get in touch with a paypal representative directly so that I can sort this out A.S.A.P. Can any one help me with any contact details for paypal like the phone number as mentioned above.
