Strange - I've just tried listing an item and didn't get charged"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Free listing ( insertion fee) was working for me earlier this morning.
Are you listing items within the categorys that are included & as per the T&C's of the promo?Thoughts:

Yep - I've just realised the problem, I don't meet the minimum seller performance levels.
It seems that I've got 4 low detailed seller ratings for P&P charges, where the maximum is 3.
This despite the fact that I have 576 positive feedback ratings, at a percentage of 100%.
This is another T&C to be introduced to the free selling weekends - I can understand them not wanting poor sellers to list ridiculous numbers of items, but 4 "low detailed seller ratings" out of what is probably 800 or so items sold without one negative rating?? That's bloody ridiculous, surely??
Rant over, f*ck 'em!0 -
same for me for p&p, how annoying, will sell elsewhere!0

That's happened to me too  not impressed, I don''t know how I can improve on my communication and despatch time when I post straight away and email the buyer to let them know the item has been posted. Grr:mad:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

The fact is, some buyers probably just click random values without considering how it effects others.
Ebay have weighted things waaaaaay too much in the favour of the buyer - I'm all for protecting peoples' money but they're currently conducting themselves far too stringently.
I see things from both points of view as I both buy and sell, but buying is a far more pleasurable and stress-free experience and that really shouldn't be the case.0 -
it must be done on the last 3 months ratings as I only have 1 low star in all cats in the last three months and thats for p&p whereas my detailed ratings for 12 months i have 4. I really do think buyers just clock what they like on stars0

logged on 10.00am this morning and already ebay was full of the overpriced tat that didn't sell the last free listing day. Most was listed at 1 minute past midnight, now that is sad!Instant Credit means Instant Debit!

If eBay wasn't stacked in favour of the buyer not only would there be no buyers (see other sites which have very loose buyer protection...no buyers! and Amazon and Play have very strict rules - and a load of buyers as a result) but they would end up in breach of a lot of consumer law.
From the point of view of buyers, eBay works well, and if it didn't, I wouldn't buy there. Sorry, but your customers, and hence your selling, depend on the way eBay protects them."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
