Okay, so where did I go wrong?

The fan on my graphics card went. It's the ATI 9600XT, I decided to replace the fan as opposed to buying a new card so ordered THIS from eBuyer, it arrived today and it doesn't even nearly fit my card.

That is the right one isn't it? Or am I just galactically stupid? I'm baffled as to why it doesn't fit. I mean it's not even close to fitting.

  • you need to take off the old fan and its heatsink, this then mounts onto the gpu usually with a bracket...
You should've gotten instructions with it.

I did take of the old fan and heatsink and while the instructions are clear as day, the thing will not fit. The holes just don't match up, not even close.
