Item sold, buyer unable to pay :s

I have sold an item on ebay. The buyer contacted me yestrday (2 days after sale ended) and said when he tries to pay through paypal, it says i dont ship to his country - UK, which i do :s.

I sold a few items that day and have rcvd payment for one item from a different buyer.

Tell him you've received other payment without problems, so perhaps he ought to contact Paypal to resolve the problem. Or tell him what other forms of payment you can accept, postal order, cheque or which ever applies.

Hi I am having the same sort of problem, The cc on my paypal will not let me pay for some items (it say the card issuer will not allow payment to this country England) yet it will let me pay for others in the same country England. So I guess the buyer is telling the truth.

  • I have had 4 payments this morning which have been immediately cancelled by Paypal. Each time the buyer has paid but an immediate refund has been made.

Ebay tell me it is not them (and in fact no sale appears in Ebay). But the PP email has come through linked to the item number with the full address details etc. Paypal tell me it is Ebay cancelling.

The second buyer has emailed me to ask what is going on, so I have emailed back explaining it is not us that have refunded. I have also emailed the other buyers as there is clearly a problem.

Not a good sign with the weekend looming.

Easy solution is to give them your bank account and sort code and get them to do a transfer.

And before everyone bleats on about not doing it because of security, you didn't care when you wrote cheques to strangers with those details on, filled them in on DD forms you handed to complete strangers handed over one of the many bank debit cards which also have the sort code and account number on.
