Ebay fake silver jewellery - seller asking me to close case before she refunds

You can still leave a negative which is what you should do - even if she replies aggresively it looks bad on her, keep the feedback factual along the lines of 'fake item received, seller refunded after dispute opened'.
She cannot leave you a negative and if she does ebay will more than likely remove it.0 -

You've had your refund, put it behind you and move on. Ebay won't investigate.
It's not a big issue for me but since she is selling large quantities of fake silver then I think it is reasonable to hope for ebay to intervene.0 -

No, just ordinary (well supposedly
) 925 silver. It wasn't anything that would immediately stand out as a knock-off, the price was not very low but just reasonable if it had been genuine silver.
I am a bit mystified as to why she paid me a refund as a separate transaction rather than just by refunding my original payment. Again, not an issue, except that the cash is now lying in my paypal account rather than being returned to my card, and she still has an open dispute.0 -

And her stupidity mean she is still going to pay Paypal fees, which she wouldn't if she had refunded properly.====0 -
I tried to leave a negative but got a message that I can't do this for 7 days because she is a power seller... dunno what that's about, I guess power sellers get special protection?
I sent her a message through ebay thanking her for the refund but suggesting she reconsider her listings as she still has a lot of 'silver' items for sale that clearly aren't genuine.0 -
You should have her address from your original eBay or paypal invoice. You could always notify her local Trading Standards of the fact that she is selling fake silver. They will probably be quite interested in following up if she is a large scale seller.====0

The seller may not be stupid - if the buyer now closes the case it is a far better outcome for the seller than refunding via the dispute.
EDIT: Am I correct in thinking that if an unescalated case is now closed by the buyer it looks like the seller won the case and does not count against their seller performance and provides little evidence of wrong doing by the seller?0 -
I'm scratching my head in puzzlement (if that's a word!) after looking at her listings. I'm half inclined to think she is just TSFE as she has lots of silly terms in her listings, such as requiring people to contact her if they want recorded delivery as she is not reponsible for loss by Royal Mail, and she invites people to pay by paypal as she won't charge them any extra for doing so..... (oh how I miss the eye-rolling smiley!). She also sells a line of daft trinkety stuff (not jewellery) which she has on disallowed 'choice' auctions and keeps getting the odd neutral about her ambiguous listings which she defends so robustly she must be one of those who believe she is always right....
In any case, she has irritated/amused me this morning by ignoring the content of my messages to her and sending a message saying simply "'I have refunded you and you have accepted the refund. I think you can now close the case. "
Nah, not yet, I don't think..... maybe if I am feeling nice after free listing weekend. I'm far too busy to close the case yet. I still have a silver necklace to shop for! I'll let her have a think about her nasty fake ones for a little while....

Just to let you know that once a case is escalated the seller cant make a refund (its not possible as PayPal hold the payment and don’t give you an option to refund) they can however refund any time before the case is escalated (as the “Grant refund” button is available within resolution centre)
I know you don’t need to now but when I got a escalated IRN dispute opened on me (with no prior notification in my defence, and from a serial negger) I had to ring PayPal to refund them (so your seller could have done the same)
Also, i know cases can’t be re-opened but twice in the past i have accidently closed a case and phoned PayPal who have re-opened it for me without any issues0
