Help Screen goes bright green

If I leave my computer for a while, and then go back to it - the screen goes black, when I move the mouse around, the screen goes a beautiful shade of total bright green:eek: I then have to switch off and on again. Also, when I turn off computer at night, it goes off and reboots again - as if I had pressed restart button. Help please. We have done virus checks with AVG not coming up with anything.

For XP;
Try right clicking on the deskop. Select Properties, then Screen Saver. Check the power settings.

The reboot is a known issue with Roxio CD burning software. There are other causes. See here.
