Hi
I am going to see Jamiroquai at the O2 on Fri 15th April. I have never been to London before, flying in to Stanstead on the Fri morning. Looking for reasonably priced accomodation for me and my missus, 2 nights.
Thanks

You could try Travelodge, premier Inn, Ibis, Holiday inn webistes-maybe looking at Docklands for beside the 02 or a few stops away is Southwark, Waterloo, Tower Hill etc-all of which have good transport links to the 02 and the attractions in London. You probably will get a reasonable rate for the Friday night, but the Sat will probably be more expensive.0

I'm not sure if there are any that close to the O2, but would you be prepared to go for a youth hostel? The YHA St Pancras is on the road between Euston and King's Cross and does private rooms, and from what I've been told is pretty nice."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

Here are the YHAs in London, http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/london/index.aspx
I looked at the one in St Pancras but couldnt find where you request a private room. I know that theres also an etap in docklands which is cheap, but getting from the o2 to docklands after the gig will be a bit of a nightmare.0 -

For two nights, you may be able to take advantage of the Holiday Inn group '2 for 1' deal -

(Put London as your destination and enter a 2 night stay, and th3e prices it comes back with is the price for each night (effectively half the normal rate)0 -
I've just realised from another thread on here that apparently it is the London marathon that weekend, which is probably going to mean that a lot of hotels will be busier than usual.0

Try out http://www.booking.com/ and list by price. I've stopped in some quite nice small hotels this way."Every single person has at least one secret that would break your heart. If we could just remember this, I think there would be a lot more compassion and tolerance in the world."— Frank Warren0

Thanks all, I very much appreciate everyone's advice. Makes sense that the marathon is on as a lot of the hotels are already fully booked. I have found some nice small hotels approx 3 miles from O2 for about 50 a night.

Does anyone know if Premier Inn will release any new £29 rooms over the next couple of weeks? Thanks0

You don't request it - if a 2 bed room is available, which it wasn't for that weekend, it will come up when you put your details in in the box on the right hand side."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
