I have a credit card with a limit of £900

The balance on it is £400

If i pay £600, will the extra £200 be saved on the credit card as credit?
= Making my Available amount £1100

(£400 + £600 =£1000)

and i will be able to use this 'extra £200' it in the future? or will it be Unaccessable?

Why will i transfer an excess of £200? because in some weeks I will be purchasing some goods worth alot, and I want to have some extra on my credit card, as I want to use my credit card for the details.

also check your maths as i make that £1100

ie you have a balance of -£400

    you wish to pay +£600

which would leave you £200 above your available credit = £1100 (£900 is available limit + £200 overpayment)

    that make sense?

some cards do allow it but this is in the minority

It would be safer to ask for a limit increase with the provider rather than trying this as most will just send the payment back.

Btw who is your card with?

They could allow you to spend the entire available balance when you put it into credit but this is a breach of the T&C and will be recognised as such, which could lead to future APR increases and / or limit reductions.

As others suggest it may be better to apply for limit increase instead :o
