Chelsea Football Tickets

My son is a Chelsea Football supporter and for his Christmas present we have booked flights for my husband to take him to a chelsea match in February. We have had to book fligts now (to ensure availability), even though the tickets do not come out on sale until a month before the match. My son is a member of the club, but my husband is not (nor does he want to be!). During the fiirst week, members can only buy 1 ticket, and then a further one in the second week....however it would seem that often tickets are completely sold out within the first week....this could cause us a big problem. Does anyone have any ideas, on how supporters can get match tickets, when they don't live in the UK mainland and have to book flights in advance? Any supporters clubs tend to only allow adults on their outings, not children. Any help/advise would be appreciated.

Have a look on this unofficial Chelsea fan site - there's a forum devoted to ticket issues if you scroll down on the left.

The official website has set up a ticket exchange in a bid to stamp out ticket touts, so you might have some joy there.

we went to see chelsea but booked one of their package deals. ticket, hotel and dinner bed and breakfast. it wasnt cheap though...but the meal was a three course steak dinner, full english breakfast, the hotel was lovely and it was a one off special occasion! The face value of the ticket was £60 and included two programs.x x x0

Not wishing to be a party pooper or anything......but have you taken into account that Sky do not announce their TV schedules for games in 2007 until sometime this month...so the game you wish to go could get moved to a different time and/or day. Also in February there is the risk of games being moved because of champions league / carling cup / FA cup commitments too.0

hi
i am a season ticket holder at chelsea
looking at the fixtures it looks like the middlebrourgh game you will be coming down for
the above poster is right sky have not picked for after the new year yet (but i doubt they will pick this one to be honest
also this will not sell out on the first memebers pick so you could wait to get your tickets when members can get more than 1
also remember that if you order one then wait you will be sat in diff seats and not together
it might be worth speaking to the box office nd explain what you are doing as they may help you out
any probs let me know and i will see what i can do
