Transferring money from a foreign country/bank into a uk bank account

Hi, whats the best way to transfer money from a foreign bank account into a uk bank account with minimum fees? thanks SoA

    CHAPS or Swift transfer. The details you need should be on your bank statement.

    However, if the foreign money is in a foreign currency then you might do better using a currency exchange broker.

    As Voyager2002 says, if the transfer involves a conversion of currency; then it may well be worthwhile to look at using a currency broker as the bank rate is more often than not very uncompetitive.
