Feedback to leave

Just need a bit of advice as to what stars and feedback I should leave for a seller. The items was never received, had little contact from the seller and no offer of refund etc - have had to open a paypal claim - which seller has not done anything about so is today being reviewed by paypal themselves, so hopefully will eventually get my money back.

I was thinking along the lines of leaving a neutral stating it was not recieved and that I had to open a PP claim?

Don't get me wrong the item could have genuinely been lost in post but Im pretty sure it was never posted to be honest, I know for a fact they would have made a loss on the sale after listing fees and postage etc.

The seller currently has 100% feedback - although mainly as a buyer, their other sales are all positive but some state that item wasn't posted etc when it should have been and things....

Don't leave feedback that mentions a paypal dispute or the seller can have it removed (if they know ebay)
Something like "item never arrived and unable to communicate with seller, disappointing"

When I do not receive an item in reasonable time, and if I have to open a dispute to get my refund and/or get poor or nonexistent comms, I usually neg them (with a calm factual comment) and mark stars at 1 or 2 for despatch and comms. If the seller communicates properly and refunds promptly I will usually leave a positive regardless of how disappointed I am. I don't really 'do' neutrals.
  • Non receipt, poor seller comms = negative IMO

Wait until you have had the refund from Paypal before leaving feedback so that the transaction is concluded. (I think you have 60 days to do this).

Items can go missing in the post but it sounds like your seller's communications have been poor and this has probably been frustrating.

Is this an experienced seller? If they are new to ebay they may not be aware of all the rules and regs and might be going by things they have read on other listings eg "not responsible for items lost in post" etc. If so you might consider a neutral but if they have been buying / selling for a while the transaction probably deserves a negative.

The feedback that you leave is a personal reflection of your feelings about the transaction and if you feel it's not acceptable then leave a negative. You can include / omit any of the star ratings ie I assuming you would score low on communication but it's ok to leave the item decription blank as you will not know if it's as described.

If you also sell on ebay I would also add the ID to your blocked bidder list here

I was in the same situation last month, I did end up getting a replacement but it was weeks down the line and I had no communication from the seller.

I left a neutral saying item not receieved and poor comm's.
