I normally pay my cc off in full each month.

I have got a 12 % interest Halifax card.

If i bought a kitchen for 2.5K what would the monthly payments be please.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

  • What % is the minimum?

Might be cheaper if you could get another card with 0% for purchases.

Sorry, that will teach me to read my own posts before posting it.

Its a % interest on purchases for 12 months, I was having a senior moment, of course if i want to pay the 2.5K off within that 12 months to pay no interest, it will be 2..5k divided by 12. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have I actually got that right now. Like I say, never had one of these before.

    Thanks for your input.

  • As said above, the minimum amount each mth will be in the t&c's of the card.
They vary but my 'mainstream' barclaycard is 2.5% of the outstanding balance.
So, on £2.5k would be £62.50
    The following mth £60.94 etc..

I would expect most cards (with good history etc) to be around the 3% mark at the most.

Depending where you buy your kitchen though, you may find they offer a longer 0% deal or for less.

  • if you really want to be sure not to pay interest then arrange to pay over 11 months not 12.
By the time you get the 12th month statement the interest free period will have finished and you could be caught out.
