Wireless modem router to work with Tiscali

Recently had to change from BY to Tiscali  and need a new router thanks to Tiscali's USB 'modem'.
I was going to go for the Netgear GD834GT from DSL Depot as it was on offer at £33.99. A week after ordering it I phoned them up to see what was happening only to be advised that it was out of stock and they had no ETA on new stock coming in.
At the moment i've got a wire stretched across my floor and my tower in the middle of the room because the socket is at the opposite end as the PC (thanks again Tiscali for a 4ft modem cable length).
Can anyone advise of a good, decent priced, ASDL Modem/Router that will do the trick?
Cheers

Hi
I've got Tiscali and use linksys router which was on special offer in PC world. It was a b****r to set up by the linksys helpline was brilliant. Its been great and I soon will be being a wireless card to connect my daughters new computer  Looking forward to doing that. But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -
There are always refurbed netgear DG834Gs available at reasonable price on Ebay. Not sure what refurb actually involves but they seem fine. I've got one and I know two other people with them.
Lot of specific advice on this site to get you set up.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
