Paid Balance Transfer Twice

I recently had an email from MBNA offering an interest free balance transfer if I was accepted for the card.
I duly applied and put in the details of the Priority Club and Hilton HHonors Visa cards I wanted to transfer balances from.
I heard nothing for some weeks from MBNA, not even a confirmation email, so assumed the application had failed.
I subsequently had a similar offer from my existing Egg card and arranged the transfer with them
I now have received the MBNA card and notification that they transferred the balances, which have also subsequently gone to Egg.
I asked Egg to reimburse the balances, but they said I had to get the original cards to refund the money. The original cards say I have to get Egg to request the transfer.
I am just going round and around with Egg and MBNA both with my new balances and credit balances on the Hilton & Priority Club cards – any ideas on how to resolve it?

  • Just do a balance transfer on your hilton and priority cards to take the money back or as them to transfer the credit amount to your bank and then pay the egg card off as egg wont release the money as its now officially debt belonging to them.

    Priority Club said they would do it, but Hilton said no.

    I have asked Egg again to request a recall.

    They have a legal obligation to provide you with the credit balance of your account via Cheque or BACS.

    Ask them again, not to refund it to Egg, but send it to you by Cheque / BACS.

    EDIT: There's no reason for you to not be able to do the same with both HHonours and Priority Club, as they're both Barclaycards. Same policies and conditions apply to each card.

  • Thaaks - I've tried, but they still refuse - they say Egg must request it.

    Egg say that they cannot request it , Hilton must send it to them.

    Hilton also closed the account once the y had the tarnsfer, so I can't even use the card!

    Is there some regulation I can quote to force them to give me my money?
