Tesco Creditcard - only 1 point per £4 spent - rubbish

Has this rate changed recently, I thought it was 1 point for every £1 spent on the card. It really does not seem worth it anymore. So I get 100 points if I spend £400 = that is only £3 worth of vouchers. Will I be better off putting the spends on my AMEX cashback card. Can't remember the cashback rate though.
I pay my card off in full every month, so just looking for the best deal. Any thoughts??

It depends on which version of the Tesco CC that you have. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

AMEX Platinum is 5% for the first 3 months, then 1.25% so yeah that would be better0

You get the best results by shopping at Tesco, using your clubcard and your Tesco credit card. This has worked effectively for me for a while and has given me an average of 2000 points per month.
The credit card itself is pretty useless in collecting points if that is your only method, but combined with the clubcard, it's quite good. We’ve had to remove your signature. With the current card there is no special benefit for using the card at Tesco. There are 5 points per £4 spent, but for of the points are standard clubcard points that you can pick up with any clubcard, so the 'additional' points are the same as any other retailer 1 point per £4 spend.0 -
I recently got vouchers for my clubcard points but on the statement it said 'Clubcard Points = £14' and underneath it said 'Tesco Bank Points' £0.00'.
I'm not sure what the Tesco Bank thing on the statement is but I assumed it was the Tesco Clubcard Credit Card which I have been using to pay for lots of things since last August, (13 months interest free too) a good few thousand quid so far and haven't had a penny back .. unless it is included in the £14 I got but it doesn't mention this on the statement.
Do you get vouchers sent separately for clubcard points and credit card points?
I know you can have your credit card as the clubcard but I prefer to use a separate clubcard0 -

Do you have a separate 'standard' clubcard that is not linked to your credit card? - If so you would get separate statements for the clubcard & credit card. If you use your credit card as a clubcard or a separate clubcard is linked to the cc account they should be on the same statement.0 -

Thanks, they are not linked to each other so it must be separate statements then. It could be that I've had one and never paid any attention to which one it was. It won't be much to get excited about if it's only £1 or £3 or whatever for £400 spent0 -
thanks for your responses. I am going to stick to my Amex Platinum, plus I got £100 cashback for my initial spend on it, much better and it will add up better over the year to give me a nice treat for christmas, as you can choose vouchers or cashback on your credit card. I chose boots vouchers and will spend them in the sale next january.Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160
