Hi guys
Just started looking into getting more traffic/buyers to my ebay store as never really thought about it before.
Does anyone know much about this sort of thing? any guides worth looking at tips etc , seems to be a hell of a lot to take in so far.
Thanks

There's quite a lot of stuff within Ebay itself. You could look at capturing email addresses and setting up a regular newsletter either within the Ebay system or using webpage which has been SEO'ed to appear high in search engines as a landing page and email capture then use aweber to send out. Then there's cross selling, there's loads of systems for that around like Auctivia or Supreme auctions, and social networking on Facebook, a blog or twitter. Ebay also have a pay per click system that can be used. Viral marketing (although not on MSE) where you include your shop details in all emails you send out.
Try collecting examples of marketing from other people and then see what works for you.0 -
Thanks for that mate
I have seen people mention googlebase/merchant but when I tried to set it up it wouldnt accept the link to my ebay store for some reason ?0 -
Never heard of that before but a quick look seems quite interesting, something to look into further I think, so thanks for that.
As to your problem I would think either a search through the help although that looked a bit awkward or asking on their forums might help solve your problem http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/base?hl=en0 -
The ones that have worked/Are working for me
Facebook
Craigslist
Auction Bump Sites -i had a months paid advertsing on about 6 of these sites and it got my store a fair few views cost about £2.10 a month pr site
Gumtree
Squidoo - Write about something you know
Other Classifieds - Post your shop on as many FREE Classified sites as you can, and if you post internationally post on some sites that are not in the UK
Twitter - although its not really working for me as yet - probably cause I cant get the hang of it lol
Googlebase - Wont accept my store either
ALWAYS put your shop link in your User CP on any forums/chat rooms that you use, where possible.
