Bad credit - need a loan to cover my debt

Please don't listen to any kind of offer through a PM.
Apples, the guy has asked for suggestions as to his predicament. I am providing him with info on one option but privately so as not to infringe the rules of this board.
What is wrong with that?

No it isn't but the advice is usually good. Did your PM include a suggestion to borrow against his pension? Do you work for a company that offers this 'service'?There's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.0 -
Hi - I was in a similar boat as you about a year ago and the ONLY thing to do that really made any sense was to get a debt management plan together. If you go to CCCS they will help you out, completely free of charge no matter how much you earn! They will look at all of your outgoings and your income, they will then work with you to see how much 'disposable' income you have at the end that you can pay to your creditors and they will go to your creditors with that offer of payment. They usually manage to get interest either drastically reduced or even stopped. You have said that your credit rating is already in the toilet so this won't make it any worse but it will get you on the right track to sort it out and get rid of those debts.0

JRobbo - thanks for your help.
Everyone else - unfriendly sods the lot of ya. Used to it - it is the Internet after all.
I don't ever go for anything that some approaches me with.£8k to pay off before Jan 2011! Was 28k to pay off by Jan 2010 though so I'm happy0 -
At the end of the day, you are not going to get the loan you want, end of. You've bad credit and you want someone to lend you 20k, come on not going to happen.
If you take Jrobbo advice, which sounds all lovely, you can expect another 6 years + of getting no credit. It won't also stop you getting hassled by companies as my mate, still gets letters/phonecall after a few years about debts he has under DMP.
If you take Tixy advice, which is decent, there is a chance that you might be able to stop the rot and actually work to pay off the debts, without ruining your credit rating anymore.
Many of us have had debt, but by saving hard, working hard and cutting back on non essential items, we have managed to do overcome them, without resorting to runing our credit ratings.0
