Don't know if you'll get anything cheap at this late stage, but it's worth checking out the travel lodge/premier inn websites and probably lastminute.com0

Thanks for replying but if looking at travel lodge or premier inn which area should i be looking for? Have never booked to stay and dont know London0

I got an email for Travelodge (1 word) today, might be worth looking at.
I've stayed in the Waterloo and Southwark ones, they're fairly central. The Covent Garden one is probably the most central ( to attractions, theatres, bars etc.)
Travelodges aren't the most sumptuous lodgings but they're generally reliable......0 -
try crashpadder and airbnbThere is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

It would be cheaper to do the Thursday and Friday nights as Saturday nights are usually either booked up or very expensive this last minute. You could try the Holiday Inn 2 nights for 1 offer link.

You could get somewhere like the Kensington Forum for £57.50 per night currently on Thursday and Friday it is beside the underground and 10 minutes walk to the Museums nearby etc. Regents Park is also a pretty central location near the tube station and £62.50 per night.
You can look at ww.tfl.gov.uk to plan your journeys and activities in advance as there is a lot to do. If you are travelling in by train you can get the 2 for 1 london offers by using vouchers from here. http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/attraction-types/2for1london.aspx
I would buy a daily travel card on arrival from the train/tube station and on the following day also (after 9.30am for cheaper off peak prices zones 1-2 for £6.60) as this gives unlimited daily travel on buses and tubes.
Hope you have a great time.0 -
Thanks very much for all your help x0

You are landing at Kings Cross.
Do a Google Maps search of Bloomsbury WC1.
Plenty of budget hotels should be marked, and you may find one within walking distance.0 -

If you're not averse to a hostel, try the YHA St Pancras which is on the road between Kings Cross and Euston and which I believe does rooms for two very cheaply."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
