Ebay postage problem.

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice. I sold and item on ebay at the beginning of Jan. On the 10th of jan I received an e-mail from the buyer saying the item had not been received. I e-mailed back appologising and put them another parcel in the post the next day. Job done I thought. Then on the 19th Jan I got another e-mail saying the buyer had not received the second parcel either. Now I don't like to make accusations but two parcels not arriving seems abit suss. I recommended that they report it to ebay thinking if they are scamming it may put them off. I heard nothing for a week but last night received a dispute notice from them. I do have the two basic proofs of postage for the parcels but was just wondering whether I'm doing the right thing standing my ground. The parcels were £7.50 each inc postage. Also the buyer has all his past sales and purchases private. It just seems a bit suss to me.By the way I have 100% feedback with most buyers commenting on the speed of my postage(usually get the parcels the day after ordering)

Did you send to the paypal address?
Did you get the buyer to confirm the postal address?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Hi. Yes I sent to the paypal address and asked if it was the correct address. I just feel its very strange for two parcels not to arrive. Either its a con or somebody is intercepting his post, but he says its never happened before.0

Hi, as you cannot prove delivery (proof of posting is not proof of reciept), it is likely that ebay will find in their favour.
You can make a claim against royal mail though if you have proof of posting.0 -
Am I better off persevering with the dispute as if he is genuine he will go ahead and escalate it but if its a common thing with him he might drop it.He has already threatened my 100% feedback in not so many words which is what I think these conmen thrive on. I feel pretty stubborn on the issue and don't like to be conned.0

Without proof of delivery you cannot win a dispute, so there is little point in allowing it to go ahead.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
