crossroads caring for carers

http://www.crossroads.org.uk/index.php?mid=2&pgid=20

Just wanted to tell people about a service I use that's been of great help: a babysitting thread made me think I should tell others.
I have two children with disabilities / special needs and use my local crossroads to sit in with them two evenings a month so that I can go out : it's free of charge. I know some other parents that use them more / less than this that's just what I get.
They also provide the service for adults it's not just kids and they are trained and paid : the staff aren't volunteers. If you have a local group you should contact them direct : details on above website. We have no friends / family that can help out and the kids enjoy the experience, I'd recomend then. Hope this helps someone.

My manager is one of the trustees and its a very worthwhile charity to donate to, and as to use as a service.
