i have airmiles duo credit cards from lloyds TSB. I made just over the minimum payment on the 29th of Jan (it was due on the 31st) using my account billing system in my Lloyds account which i use every month to pay no problem. I've checked my account today to discover that the payment although accepted is still pending and i've now been charged £24 for late payment and going over my limit aswell as the interest from this month so now i'm £120 od . As far as i was concerned i'd paid now i know i can't ring till tomorrow, but i just wondered where i stand over the payment that is still pending, when i thought as it had been accepted it would be paid as it has for the previous months i do this ??

Its same day because i use my 'make a payment' in my online account. last month i paid on the 23rd and payment was recieved on the 23rd !! so i think it should have paid at the latest by the 31st
  • Did you have enough cleared funds in your bank account to make the payment to your credit card?
  • Why can't you call until tomorrow? They have call centres (UK ones!!) and their phone banking is open 23/7.

OH also has Lloyds banking and Lloyds Duo cc, and when he makes a payment it is never immediate - if he logs on in the evening to make it, the earliest that they take it is the next day, but given that it could be a weekend, would be the next working day.

I agree though, that the latest it should have shown on their system was 31st - maybe next month, don't leave it so late to pay!

I can see at least three full-stops in there, even though I know thats not nearly enough ;-)

    You are, of course, correct.

My powers of observation are declining rapidly as I age!

May I suggest you ring the internet banking helpline.
They will be able to look at the log of your visit on that day to see what has happened.
I presumed you did re-enter your password to complete the transaction and the message came up that the transaction was successful?
