Valentines for Wife on a Diet

My wife has been on a diet for a while and she is doing realy well. So, what can I get her, nothing edible, unless it's diet and that is boring and she might be offended..she does want to loose weight, but your hubby buying you slimming food?

I guess theer is always Lingerie, maybe Bra \ Knickers, naught nighties are soooo expesive for what they are..Do Women rellay like Bra \ Knickres for Valentines, or is it a case of..o well..I had better wear it..

Flowers or plant I guess..But nothing to expensive.

Thoughts \ ideas appreaciated.
Thanks

Steve

    Why spend loads of money?

why not treat her to a romantic night in, flowers, nice bubble bath, candles, massage etc

or take her out for the day/evening, go somewhere you both enjoy but havent been for ages, somewhere that holds special memories for you both.

It doesnt have to be a venue like a restaurant, pub, if she likes the theatre see if there are any local events on (we have several playhouses near us that have shows on rather than theatres) or maybe call your local theatre and see if there are any reduced price tickets for that weekend

How about a cheap spa day? you can buy her a full body massage for about £40. If thats too expensive flowers and a lovely bath set would be nice for her to pamper herself at home :) x

For good offers on spas and treats like that i fully recommend joining groupon for you local area, i have done loads, hair cuts, spray tans etc all much cheaper than normal price :-)

A easy sweet recipe for slimming world version ferrero rocher, is 3 tables spoons of nutella and 3 ryvita, crush the ryvita, melt the nutella for about 15 seconds and mix in the ryvita, get some little sweet cakes and add a teaspoon per wrapper and its approx 1 syn a sweet, really easy for anyone to make and really nice :-)

I wouldn't buy her underwear if she's dieting and doing really well - anything that fits her now might not fit her in 3 months.

Beauty treatment, manicure or pedicure would be lovely. Most places do vouchers.

You say flowers but not expensive - Aldi are doing a bunch of 12 red roses from Thursday 10th for £4.99 (or was it £5.99, can't remember, but it was cheap!)

some nice smellies - body butters, body lotions, bath bombs - for her to pamper herself with. Something to help her love her 'new' body - maybe one brand level up from her usual?

(ie - if she usually gets Own Brand buy a High Street Brand (Body Shop/No7/Soap & Glory/FCUK) and if she usually gets High Street get a Beauty Brand (Clarins/Clinique) and if she already gets those then pop to your local outlet and see what gift sets they have)

Try not to get something too perfumy - unless you are sure she will like it (my OH knows he can't go wrong with Vanilla or Cherry bases - anything else he would be wary of). If you know what her fav perfume is maybe get the matching bits - showergel/body lotion etc.

DON'T buy anything that says 'skin firming/body sculting' it can be good stuff but not romantic from your hubby when you are dieting :rotfl:

My OH buys me books for Valentines :o
