As above.
If it says MP3 4 times in the advert even in the heading, how come some buyers do not read this and say I thought it was a normal CD, or why can I not Hear anything on my car CD player.
READ THE ADVERT PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry rant over now

You need to be very careful if you are selling something that is very slightly different to a category that sells a lot.
For example, if you are selling an R4 DVD you need to make this really stand out as otherwise people are not going to spot it. I try to read all listing with great care, often more than once and I still sometimes only notice things on the second of third reading.
The problem seems to be that people are blind to information they are not expecting.
In the case of an MP3 sold on a CD you would need to specifically state: "Note that this CD is in MP3 format and will not play on standard CD players", because not everyone will be aware of that.
The best adverts make unusual information stand out, big, bold and colour highlighted, so that the buyer can't miss it.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Be careful of the rules on media items here:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/downloadable.html
Especially this bit,
<LI class=unorderedList>You need to list your item only in the Everything Else > Informational. Your listing clearly states that you legally own the content (sometimes called intellectual property) or you are authorized to sell it by the owner, the owner’s authorised agent, or the law.
and this bit:
Not allowed
Examples of digitally delivered goods that can't be advertised on eBay:- MP3 music copied from a CD you own or recorded at a concert
- eBooks you don't own the copyright to and aren't authorised to resell by the owner, the owner’s authorised agent, or the law
- Songs you bought from iTunes
- Movies you copied from DVDs you own
- Video games you copied from the original CDs
- PDF files of product manuals or user guides that you don't own the copyright of or you aren't authorized to resell by the owner, the owner’s authorized agent, or the law
- Online gaming accounts or artifacts such as characters, currency, or other items

It says on the advert. This CD can only be used in a MP3 CD player, like your computer or a MP3 car CD player.
And is in red and highlighted in yellow place under the title bar and at the end of the advert.Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0 -
I'm interested in what you were selling that were in mp3 format?0

Just to prove the point I took Azari's description on first reading to mean a Radio Four DVD and not a Region four DVD. :rotfl: Just goes to prove that you need to explain everything in detail.0 -
I sell 10 audio books in MP3 CD format which there is a bit on catagories that says Audio Books - format - MP3.
These are imports from the US. I have not added anything to them or recorded them myself or make the CD's that I get from the US they are already done and printed.Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0 -
Sorry, I am slightly confused.
So these are full commercially-produced (stamped) CD disks? Silver backed?
Not the CDR format "burnt" CDs?I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -

yep Genuine and sealed CD's.
Like I said does the buyer ever read the whole advert as it says that they are sealed etcLifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0 -
No
I've lost count of the amount of questions I've had to answer when the information they've asked for is said several times in the advert
eg Q - What colour is this item?
A - Blue.
**thinks while replying** "as per the listing title you clicked on, the heading of the selling page, the 5 pictures showing you the item and the word blue in the description."Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
