such a plum! sent item to wrong person

Hi:(

I don't believe it (or i do but don't want to!) after being so happy that i'd sold some kids clothes on ebay i've messed up big time and mixed 2 parcels up and sent them to them wrong person:cry:
I had an email from one of the people saying thay had recieved the wrong item, so i replied saying would she send it back to me and i'd refund the postage. I then emailed the person who should have had the item that the 1st person had recieved asking if she'd had the parcel and explaining what i'd done, she has emailed me straight back saying she hasn't had the parcel yet, but would i like her to send it straight on to the other person rather than sending it back to me 1st.

GGGGRRR I'M SO CROSS WITH MYSELF!!!

I will (and have told them both) that i will refund ALL the postage they have paid if they will send the wrong items back to me(including the original postage they paid to say sorry)

Is it a good idea (safe for everyone) to ask them both to just send to each other? would that be acceptable? or is it a bit rude/cheeky?
tia

I received the wrong item once and the seller asked me to send it to the other buyer. She was so contrite and sorry about it, and refunded the postage, so I still left her a positive.
  • Twice sellers have sent me someone elses items and both times I asked for the correct address and sent it on for them. They sent me the postage amount and were sorry so I left good feedback.
I also managed to send the wrong item to a buyer, luckily it hadn't sold so I told them to keep it, even luckier I had also sent out the right item so it arrived the next day after they told me and they left brilliant feedback.

Been there - done that! I'm so pleased I'm not the only one. I refunded their purchase cost too, I was mortified! Both buyers have since bought other items from me, so they must have known it was just an off day I was having. Hahaha

    :beer:Thanks to all posters!
  • I had such situation as a buyer, I posted the item to the correct person within a day, but had to wait ages for mine! Apparently this other person lived far from the post office and could only get round to sending it after a few weeks. Seller was very apologetic though, refunded all the costs involved.
