Hi
Just wanted to share that I accidentally went over drawn on my OD limit on my current account in January. One DD was paid making me a couple of pounds overdrawn and another was returned unpaid - taken a few days later when the funds were available. For each of these I had notice I was being charged £25 plus £15 for being OD for 3 days. As soon as I realised, I transferred funds to cover it. This happened because my credit card bill was late because of the bad weather but really I accept it is up to me to be on top of it.
Anyway, I emailed A&L to explain it is a one off and won't happen again and they have waived the £65 fee :j
If you don't ask, you don't get - and I will be more careful if future! Hope this helps someone.

Not sure about call centres, but branches have the discretion to refund/ waive charges if the customer has gone less than £9.99 overdrawn and they have not done it before.0

I have been in contact with them after they charged my son £93 for going overdrawn by £8.70. It was a mistake and they didn't send any letters or statements. I am not impressed. All they said was if you are having trouble managing your finances call this number. Not very helpful. I have emailed back again but am concerned that my 19yr old may get a bad credit rating.0
