Hi, there is a Ibis next to Euston which is quite nice and a premier inn which is not so nice. A bit further along euston rd you have got a travel lodge and a modern YMCA.

    Hello sunshine6650

I have to disagree with tower, I've stayed in the Ibis Euston and the Premier Inn Euston and the Premier Inn is better in my opinion. The reason is that the PI has bigger rooms, better/more recent decor, better (flat screen) television, bigger bathroom, bath and hand towel (Ibis only give bath towel) and lovely comfortable beds which I believe are Hypnos...............which is a luxury bed brand which the Queen sleeps on..............and the PI has friendlier staff.

I'm not an employee or connected to Premier Inn.

    Regards

Kings Cross and St Pancras are about a 10 min walk from Euston, so hotels near them might also be of use.
Hoping this year is better than the last. :)

Hi, maybe i just had a bad stay, When we arrived the front door/window had been smashed and boarded up. And the corridor to room had badly stained carpets and food everywhere(guests). It was xmas party season which could explain it. We found the Ibis more business like with a nice bar for a night cap.

I generally just use http://www.booking.com to find hotels. You can search for Euston Station in it, and then just pick your preferred type of accommodation/price range. Best compromise I've found between searching the internet forever and just using a big chain.

I would also recommend the Ibis as it's convenient for leaving luggage to be picked up later. The power showers in the bathrooms are super-efficient and the breakfasts are good, if you want them.
  • I'd go with the YHA St Pancras if I were you (about five minutes' walk down Euston Road towards Kings Cross) as it's likely to be cheaper than a hotel, especially if you're OK with dorms and shared bathrooms. A friend has stayed there and said it was very clean and nice and quiet - they get lots of families staying there so it's less rowdy than some of the hostels in town.

Sorry about my earlier post, i mixed up my hotels:(.

It was the Travelodge we stayed in that was a bit rough round the edges... But they are doing rooms for £60 at the beginning of March.

Id avoid the Premier Inn if you're female, I stayed there with a female friend (as it happens shes an ex-friend now but not because of that :rotfl:) and we had the night porter listening at the door of our room and trying to look in 2 nights we stayed as he (wrongly) believed there were 3 of us in the room - we complained and told the reception categorically there werent - we felt especially vulnerable as the friend was German and although her English is good and I have A-Level German, she couldnt comprehend why someone would want to spy on us.
To be fair the manager was absolutely horrified and apologised, but not before I'd said I hadnt paid 200-odd quid to have to sneak in the back way so this night porter wouldnt know we were back - we were as quiet as we oculd be but my friend saw him and heard him outside our door. Was tempted to go back with OH when we went to London last time (OH is 6' and would make a great prop forward :D - ie he's massive) and see if he listened that time but we had to cancel as I just couldnt face staying there again.
